North Wall.

It has taken me a LOOOONG time to settle in to my studio space.  Lots of things have come and gone from the space, nesting is never ending.  I make MASSIVE messes in here and then I clean, re-arrange, over think...and on it goes.  This yellow cabinet came into my life from the amazing zangbellandgill.com !  Thanks Kendra.  It has grounded the North wall and has the paper drawers of my dreams.  The color reminds me of my dearly departed canary, Frida.  She was a good little force of feminine energy in my male dominated home.  Viva Canary Yellow!  The paper roles on top are stored in a wine rack.  I will try to give the studio tour in  wall by wall increments over the next few weeks......next the West wall.

Not everything is pretty

I've been fumbling my way through the world of clay.  I want this fugly mug to be my "remember where I started" mug.  Although I don't necessarily get the results I want yet, I am loving the process.  I have always relished playing in the dirt!

All done before the froth on my cappuccino disappeared!  Lets glaze this puppy!

Colors on my mind

These colors have been on my mind lately.  I love coming slowly out of the greys of winter.

It's been a while!

It's good to be back.  In the past couple of weeks it has been pointed out to me by more than one person that they miss my blog posts!  Who knew!  I have been on the Instagram train but I know some are not on the same train so I am going to make an effort back here.  It's also a labour of love.  I remember how scary it was putting up my first post!  Seems so silly now.  Social media has a way of getting into your veins and now I don't even think about it, picture here, picture there....share, share, share.  It's all very strange like some weird sci-fi movie.  I will share some photos to recap whats been catching my eye in the last few months but today, I'm just going to post some rocks, water and wood.  Because I love them.

How's that for refreshing!
